Strategic Risk Management
- Have managed law enforcement operations during real life critical incidents.
- Led the audit teams on 20 site visits during the 2006 National Plan Review for the Department of Homeland Security
- Have assisted the Georgia Director of Homeland Security as subject matter experts and facilitators in development of an Atlanta metropolitan area response plan to a terrorist event.
- Assisted Georgia Tech Research Institute, the staff support for the Georgia Director of Homeland Security, as subject matter experts in developing the State’s Strategic Homeland Security Plan.
- During 2003, prepared a risk assessment methodology addendum that has been included in the Georgia Emergency Operations Plan, based on research conducted of open source literature and subject matter expertise. It is to be used as a guide to county and local governments for risk assessments.
- Conducted a comprehensive review of the policies, procedures and operations of a security department of a major corporation. Provided recommendations for restructuring and improving efficiency and effectiveness, all of which were adopted.

crisis management
- Assisted in preparing the Y2K response plan for GEMA and the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA), as well as serving as NEMA’s consequence management national response team leader during the Y2K rollover at the Federal Emergency Management Center in Washington, DC.
- Prepared the definitive emergency disaster preparedness and planning guidelines for the Georgia public schools for the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA).
- Assisted the State of Georgia in establishing a tiered response plan and training program for reacting to an incident involving Weapons of Mass Destruction. This plan involved the integration of police, fire, rescue, emergency medical agencies, HAZMAT, hospitals, EPA, Public Health, CDC (Toxic Chemical Response Group), and the National Guard.
- Prepared a crisis management plan for a Connecticut based financial investment company.

- Conducted internal and due diligence investigations for a variety of corporations, including Fortune 500 firms.

Physical Security
- In preparation for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, conducted security assessments, audited security policies and procedures and made recommendations for security improvements at 14 city center facilities in Salt Lake City. The properties included high rise office buildings, a shopping center, newspaper, TV station and hotel.
- Conducted vulnerability assessments and systematic security planning for a major chemical industry corporation with facilities throughout Central and South America.
- Conducted security audit of a poultry processing plant that supplies national food companies.
- Conducted vulnerability assessment and made recommendations for security improvements that were adopted by the Board of Directors of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City.
- After 9/11, conducted vulnerability assessments, audited security policies and procedures, and made recommendations for establishing security priorities and improvements at various facilities, including plants throughout the US, that are operated by a large natural gas pipeline company.
- Assisted the Board of Directors of a leading research and development firm through vulnerability assessment, design and implementation of access control, intrusion detection, CCTV and alarm systems on their new campus.
- After 9/11, conducted a vulnerability assessment and made recommendations for security enhancements to the Board of Directors of The Kennedy Center, Washington, DC.

Major Event Management
- Conducted security audit for a large multi-purpose facility that hosts approximately 200 events a year.
- Participated significantly in security planning for all Olympic Games between 1984-1996. Led the planning and operational Federal response to security for the 1996 Olympic Games, the largest peacetime event in history, with a staff that eventually grew to more than 1200. This included the protection of 16,500 foreign officials, explosive ordnance disposal operations, emergency tactical response planning and
preparation, technical installations, management of a multi-agency intelligence center, and logistical support and training.

Executive Protection Services
- Have provided short duration executive protective operations for key executives of major corporations, as well as for high net worth individuals. This has included management of protective operations for clients for events such as the 2000 SuperBowl and board of directors meetings.

- Provided statewide training for senior level executives in law enforcement, fire and emergency management in critical incident, multi-jurisdictional response planning.
