Charlie Snyder
Charlie Snyder is a recognized leader in strategic planning, organizational development and business development with over 30 years of executive experience in the manufacturing, service and retail sectors. His career focus has been on taking entrepreneurial or early stage privately held companies to national and international prominence. Mr. Snyder joined Johnson, Maples & Associates in 2010 as Chief Development Officer to focus on the strategic growth of the company.
1998 – 2008 Chief Administrative Officer – Applegrove Restaurants, Atlanta, GA
Mr. Snyder joined Applegrove Restaurants in 1998 when the company had 37 Applebee's restaurants in 4 states with $88 million in revenue. With his focus on employee retention, employee training and development, guest service and technical leadership the company grew to $250 million in revenue with 105 restaurants operating in 8 states. During his tenure with Applegrove, Mr. Snyder and his partners were Franchise Operators of the Year multiple times and grew the business to become the 5th largest restaurant franchise organization in the world and one of the largest privately held companies in Georgia.
1980 – 1997 President -J. M. Huber Corporation's Solem Division, Atlanta, GA
Mr. Snyder joined Solem as Director of Business Development in 1980. Following the acquisition by J.M. Huber in 1981 Mr. Snyder became the division President and Vice President of the parent organization. During his tenure with Huber he led the business from an entrepreneurial venture with small market share in the U.S. Alumina Chemicals Industry to become the recognized international leader in that sector. This growth was achieved based initially on product development and manufacturing technology and then was leveraged by world class customer service. Solem became the acknowledged industry leader in both employee and customer retention. The business gained international prominence following Mr. Snyder's formation of successful joint ventures in China with Shandong Alumina Works (1987) and in Europe with Royal Dutch Shell (1991). Mr. Snyder was active in many industry associations to promote quality, safety and environmental stewardship within the Plastics Industry and the company was recognized by many Fortune 500 companies for their efforts- most notably the Supplier of the Year Award from General Electric Corporation in 1993.
Mr. Snyder's business foundation was built upon his undergraduate education at Rutgers University and continuing Executive Management Programs at both Northwestern University and the Harvard Business School.
